1. The Combined Services Plastic Surgery Society annual meeting will be taking place on Thursday 20th October 2022 at The Tank Museum, Bovington, Dorset.

The Tank Museum hosts the world’s finest collection of Tanks including the only working example of a German Tiger I tank, and the world's oldest surviving combat tank.

 2. The theme this year is entitled ‘Us’. The aim of this year's meeting is to review and appraise Us as individuals, Us as teams, and Us as organisations in the context of Defence Plastic Surgery.

 3. The meeting remains similar format to previous years, with a full day of academic presentations on Thursday 20 October at The Tank Museum, followed by a Mess Dinner.

 4. Friday 21 October will give the Cadre the opportunity to familiarise ourselves with the role and function of the Royal Armoured Corps at Lulworth Camp before moving to trainee interviews.

 5. Unfortunately, since the previous invite letter in May, the accommodation booked at Stanley Barracks has been reallocated to Units undertaking Special to Arm Training. Secondary accommodation has been sourced further afield at Blandford Camp; this is a 25 minute drive to the Tank museum. This is transit accommodation that is available in limited numbers and as twin rooms are only type available for Officers, there will be a requirement to share. WOs, Sgts and ORs will be placed into four-person rooms. Due to the limited number of rooms, places will be allocated on a first come first served basis; after payment receipt. Confirmation before Sunday 4th September 2022 will provide the highest likelihood of securing accommodation.

 6. Accommodation is offered for Wednesday 19 October and Thursday 20 October. Both the cadre and civilian attendees will be accommodated at Blandford Camp. Please be aware that the rooms and the ablutions are shared and the linen will need to be return at the end of the stay. Attendees will be placed in rank/gender appropriate rooms.

 7. If accommodation is not available, Military attendees will be instructed to apply for accommodation through their parent units’ T&S with Non-Availability 2 Certificates. Civilian personnel are advised that accommodation is available in the nearby town of Wareham in the event that we are unable to provide accommodation.

 8. Invited guests will be hosted at the Officers Mess of Blandford Camp.

 9. The Mess Dinner will also be held at the Tank Museum.

10. Serving personnel will require a MOD 90 or Service equivalent for entry onto Blandford Camp. Those who are Veterans or Civilian attendees will need to bring photographic identification (Passport or Driving license). Civilian attendees may be required to submit further details to enable security vetting for access; this will be promulgated after registration.

 11. Abstracts must be submitted before 12:00Hrs Sunday 4th September 2022 by e-mail to academic@cspss.co.uk and are expected from all regular trainees (title, author(s) and abstract up to a maximum of 300 words). All interested medical and nursing personnel (including reservists) are also encouraged to submit abstracts. The abstract submission will remain selective and may be awarded with either a podium presentation or poster.
